The View’s News – 1st Quarter 2019
Letter from the President
Hello Orchard View,
Isn’t it amazing how a few warm days can make the blossoms appear out of nowhere? When the Mid-Columbia region is in full bloom, it reminds me how lucky we are to live and work in such a beautiful area. Thank you to everyone who helps us care for the orchards and prepare for cherry harvest. Our customers are looking forward to the fruits of our labor. We just might be as busy as the bees are right now! The crops looks to have had no ill effects from the extra long winter. We are expecting a normal crop and to start harvesting around June 15. Come look for Orchard View’s float at the Cherry Festival Parade!
Cheers and cherry on,
Brenda

“Community Backpack Program” – This program helps kids who don’t have enough food to eat over the weekend by sending home a bag of food with them every Friday afternoon during the school year. Orchard Report
Spring has sprung at Orchard View! The orchard team is hard at work with the many jobs that Spring brings. In addition to our normal spring work, we are also getting started on orchard renewal at a number of our orchards. Trees are arriving, orchards are being laid out, irrigation systems planned and installed and the list goes on!
Keep up the good work! ~ Ian Chandler
